We are hiring a Procurement Manager to provide the best supplier solutions for all company initiatives by seeking and maintaining relationships with world class partners. This individual will understand all internal needs and tailor procurement plans accordingly.  We want someone that embraces being an essential player in the overall team’s success.


Job Responsibilities

  • Purchase items, materials, or services of a technical and specialized nature.  The items, while of a common general type, are usually made, altered, or customized to meet the user’s specific needs and specifications
  • Audit purchase orders for delivery dates and maintain contact with vendors to insure delivery of materials when promised
  • Maintain contact with engineering or other departments originating orders and keep them informed regarding status of order
  • Review and release work orders to the shop floor based on MRP to insure orders are built and shipped per customer demand
  • Responsible for locating or promoting possible new sources of supply 
  • Keep abreast of market trends, changes in business practices in the assigned markets, new or altered types of materials entering the market, etc.
  • Comply and conduct business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations

Job Requirements

  • 6-8 years of buying/planning experience in a manufacturing or assembly setting or comparable level of experience in a capital equipment procurement environment preferred
  • Proven experience in procurement and materials management
  • Experience with ERP implementation and maintenance
  • Ability to lead a team of buyers and planners
  • Awareness of lean manufacturing principles
  • Highly organized self-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Maintain a strong initiative and solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent mathematical, written, and oral skills
  • Problem solver with a positive attitude
  • Able to thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
