The Company’s headquarters are in Dallas, TX, with offices in Amersfoort, Netherlands; Akron, Ohio; Toronto, Ontario; Johannesburg, South Africa and Tianjin, China.

Our Safety Coordinator will be responsible for assisting all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and ISO requirements for the plant, so that existing products and production units meet regulatory requirements and company objectives for operational excellence. You will also aim to develop and maintain an efficient training program to ensure maximum education and awareness of site employees.


Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely data collection to complete reports in compliance with State and Federal regulatory requirements and company objectives.
  • Ensure a safe work place is maintained in accordance with regulatory and company standards to include:
    • Preparation and delivery of new employee orientation
    • Preparation and delivery of weekly and monthly site safety meetings
    • Incident Reports: conduct investigations, prepare reports, follow-up
    • Conduct, document, and provide feedback on training and evacuation drills
    • Manage hearing conversation and assist with site waste minimization and disposal initiatives
    • Participate in Job Safety Analysis and Process Risk Analysis reviews
    • Participate in site Safety & Risk Awareness Initiative
  • Assist with internal and external audits
    • ISO, Ohio EPA, OSHA external auditors
    • Conduct internal weekly inspections, prepare reports, follow-up on corrective and preventive actions
  • Create and update Safety and Environmental procedures as needed
  • Assist Engineering in maintaining the ISO Management System to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Perform as alternate plant supervisor as needed
  • Participate in ISO Internal and External Audits

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on compliance experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with Ohio EPA reporting and OSHA regulations
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and 9001
  • Experience with employee training and presentations
  • Good knowledge of safe work practices
  • Experience conducting contingency exercises is a plus

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Post secondary degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related field preferred
